Gel, lotion or cream: what changes with texture?
The AAD distinguishes generally lightweight gels, lotions and thicker creams. Dry skin may benefit from a richer texture, while combination skin may need different care in different areas. These pointers help with comparison but cannot guarantee tolerance of a formula.
Use a concrete observation: “my cheeks feel tight after cleansing” or “this cream feels too thick for my morning routine”. The first describes a comfort concern; the second is a preference about use. Keeping them separate makes your choice easier to explain.

For products sold in France, the DGCCRF explains useful label information: purpose, quantity, ingredients and precautions. Check the exact version you choose. Similar-looking packaging can belong to different products; keep the reference of the bottle you receive.
A missing ingredient list does not mean a formula is free of allergens. In Poiréa, a declared restriction must be verifiable before a product is suggested. Missing information can limit recommendations; it does not prove that a product is unsuitable for everyone.

A higher price is not a personal-quality ranking criterion in Poiréa. On the merchant page, compare quantity, unit price, any additional charges and how current the offer is. A larger size is useful only if you actually want to use it.
A calculation example, not a retail offer: €12 for 40 ml equals €30 per 100 ml; €18 for 75 ml equals €24 per 100 ml. The second unit price is lower, but these figures say nothing about either formula or your tolerance.
How does Poiréa use your answers?
Declared skin type, tightness, sensitivity and allergies help filter and rank documented products. Texture and the quality of available information contribute to the ranking. Merchant commission is not part of that score.
If you already have a moisturizer that suits you, include that step in your habits. Other suggestions become comparisons, not a requirement to replace it. Read the displayed restrictions too: upgrading to Premium does not unlock a selection paused because of treatment or an unsupported allergy.
- Separate comfort needs from texture preferences.
- Check ingredients and the exact version before buying.
- Compare unit prices without overlooking the formula.
Choose a moisturizer with an identifiable formula and criteria you understand. Popularity alone does not show that it suits you.
